Aitzaz Ahsan Bought and Delivered

Well the secret of the meeting between Zardari and Aitzaz is out. Aitzaz has been offered post of governor or AG and in return he has agreed to kiss Zardari’s feet and has assured the Presidency he will assist Zardari on NRO (Will his defense be based on asking CJ Iftikhar Chaudhry to step aside “because I am Zardari’s lawyer now” — a lame trick he tried before in the Bank of Punjab scam, just like the Former AG Latif Khosa is trying now against CJs Iftikhar and Ramday?)

Now don’t forget it was Aitzaz who was thrown out of the PPP’s Central Executive Committee and it was Aitzaz himself who had said Zardari was a thief who had expenses that “are not from sources of income that be lawfully explained and accounted for.” I hope the judges bring up Aitzaz’s very statements when he represents Zardari. Of course since then — and despite knowing that — Aitzaz has been defending Zardari like other of his cronies saying “it was true that despite spending millions of dollars, the previous governments could not get any decision from the courts against Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari became the president” and not that he was the President,  Zardari had no threat even if the NRO was repealed because Article 248 of the Constitution guaranteed a big time protection to the president (He repeated this again yesterday but a bit more strongly: “No court can summon president even if NRO is repealed.” Of course most of his colleagues disagree and also believe Zardari has violated the very constitution he is trying to hide behind with the help of Aitzaz. I wish Aitzaz could be disbarred (if there is such a thing in this country) for supporting a presidency that  was unprecedented with “crooks and cronies of all hues were being offered lucrative positions in state-run corporations and money minting departments.” But then, that is expecting too much from the lawyer ‘brathery’ that still holds the names like Latif Khosa, Farooq Naek, Babar Awan, Shariffuddin Pirzada, Kasuri, Malik Qayyum, Naeem Bokhari — and thousands others — among their “respected brethren”

Nice analysis! Well, in politics that’s the trends. Most politicians don’t have principles- They always compromise with whom they can get something in return. Money and post matter in politics. If someone is given a promised of Money or a post, immediately he or she would completely give his support!
Anyway, I hate politicians- CORRUPT! Goodluck!
