Sorry for the delay in replying to this story but it only came to my attention today. I am surprised that after offering to help pakistan’s flood appeal, a break from it traditional policies, NASDAQ then decided that the clips offered were “too long” to broadcast. Were these criteria’s not mentioned before hand to the pakistani consulate? Was there no communication as to the set rules and regulations. I am not clear about what chief scientist is trying to say here. I get that NASDAQ had decided to break with tradition and offer a helping hand in making a direct appeal to not only NY but to the world but seriously did they then decide that only certain images should be beamed on the screen, did NASDAQ seriously think that the images of high ranking civil servants would melt the hearts of skeptics more than images of flood stricken victims? If so then it seems that someone has twisted the arm of NASDAQ so that they are seen to be “helping”.
Why couldn’t the appeal made by Angelina Jolie be edited and used instead? I have no doubt that the civil servants wanted to genuinely help pakistan flood victims but I am astounded, chief scientist, that for presumably “educated” people no communication seems to have taken place to clarify and ascertain the guidelines. What a wasted opportunity and again what a shame for the losers are the flood victims AGAIN!

Hmm! So GeoTV was taking some kind of revenge when it broadcast the negative news about Baber Hashmi. I know they belong to a different political group but doing this kind of dishonest video-casting by Geo is shameful. Watching NASDAQ video it looks like every thing went by the protocol and Hashmi did his job well.

What he is saying seems to be inaccurate. If he really is worth $2.7B as he claims then he would be the richest person in pakistan on books but he is not. So there are two things: 1) he is lying that he is worth that much 2) he really is worth this much but has not declared and hence has not paid taxes on it. both ways he would be a cheat,,, correct me if i am wrong
